Only Murders in the Building Season 3 on Disney+ just recently came to an end. Three unlikely friends named Charles, Oliver, and Mabel—played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, respectively—live in the upscale Arconia building.
The first season of the show follows them as they try to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of their neighbor; the second season finds them falsely accused of a second murder. Only Murders’ first two seasons brought up a lot of twists and turns while also managing to reach a satisfactory finale.
As a whole, both critics and audiences adored the show. Fans are more eager than ever for Season 3 after Season 2’s show-stopping ending, which literally ended on a perplexing cliffhanger. But what can we expect for the following year? We’ll tell you.
Only Murders in The Building Season 3 Premiere Date

Season 1 aired from August to October 2021, while Season 2 released brand-new episodes every week from June to August 2022, less than a year later. With any luck, we might be back investigating crimes at the Arconia in the summer of 2023 if things keep going at this rate.

Only Murders in The Building Season 3 Plot
Sadly, Only Murders in the Building Season 3’s exact plot has yet to be revealed. In any case, given the show is a mystery, it’s likely that we won’t learn anything about the plot. We can anticipate some things, though. With Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) passing away onstage in front of the whole main cast, the last episode ended on a cliffhanger.
So it stands to reason that the third season will likely address both the events that lead to this sequence of occurrences and the development of the podcast that the golden trio produced to examine each murder. Furthermore, it’s obvious that Glenroy and Charles had a grudge against one another, so that will probably factor into everything.
However, considering how Mabel and Charles’ history was interwoven into the larger mystery in the previous two seasons, it’s possible that this season may focus primarily on Oliver. Additionally, this season might be concentrating more on Oliver because the murder in the third season occurs at one of his performances.
Even the showrunner, John Hoffman, made this suggestion. Hoffman revealed in an interview with Slash Film that they were excited to “pull toward Oliver Putnam and the realm of theatrics, and his hopes and dreams to rebuild a name after his catastrophe with Splash” for Season 3!

Only Murders in The Building Season 2 Ending Explained
This season, only Murders in the Building produced a large number of threads. Glowing guy The peculiar Mabel compulsion that Cara Delevingne’s character displayed. Charles’s dad depicted in a bikini? Nina Lin, the nasty new building president? Is the Greek dip guy Oliver’s son’s father?
Amy Schumer, anyone? Most of that managed to come together in a mediocrely satisfactory season finale, which is now available to stream on Hulu. Poppi, the co-host of Cinda Canning’s true crime podcast, was so desperate for recognition that she actually killed someone to further the plot of the show. Unlucky Bunny.
The twist presented a witty jab at our generation’s obsessive fixation with true crime in an enormous set-up—for a little moment, I truly believed Charles was dead. (Guilty.) Several of the aforementioned plotlines were left untied in the Only Murders in the Building finale. however, even if it had?
We wouldn’t have been spared from the numerous midseason episodes where nothing seemed to happen at all. Season Two of Only Murders in the Building is overstuffed with decoys, in contrast to Season One, which skillfully incorporated multiple Arconia mysteries. Nina Lin was involved in Bunny’s death, but we spent far too much time with her.
