Chainsaw Man Chapter 119 Plot and Summary
Denji was perplexed by Yoru’s call of “Denji Spinal Cord Sword,” and the attempt to transform him into a weapon failed miserably. She attempts several more times to change Denji without success, and each time the youngster grabs her head and yells “Asa Spinal Cord Sword,” apparently thinking it’s a funny way to say farewell.
Yoru responds to Asa’s criticism that he should have been transformed into a weapon by saying that the two of them got along so well, which Asa finds insulting. Since Asa believes that converting a live person requires the other person to reciprocate her sentiments, she probably concludes that it didn’t work because Tanaka had affection for her and Asa didn’t feel the same way.
They had so little sleep at the aquarium, Yoru says, that she’s going to bed. In response to Asa’s inquiry about Fami, Yoru explains that Fami is the Famine Devil and that it had been so long since they’d seen each other that Yoru didn’t recognize her, implying that this is a different incarnation from the one with whom she is familiar. Yoru warns Asa to keep away from her because she’s crazy, but before Asa can inquire why Yoru blacks out.
She tries to rouse the sleeping devil, but to no avail, leaving her to dwell on Denji and grow increasingly annoyed by him for not returning her feelings despite all they did for one other.

Denji, the protagonist of the show, wants nothing more than to spend the rest of his life with the woman he loves. Unfortunately, his dreams are threatened when the Yakuza demand that he slaughters demons to repay his massive debts. He’ll sell his nuts or use his pet Pochita as a chainsaw to steal them if he has to.
But a devil with ties to the Yakuza ends his tragic existence when he murders him. Pochita, however, fuses with Denji’s corpse and bestows upon him the abilities of a chainsaw devil. The resurrected Denji uses his newfound ability to turn his limbs into chainsaws to rapidly and brutally kill his foes.
