Gina Alexis Rodriguez (born July 30, 1984) American actress. She is best known for her role as Jane Villanueva in the CW’s satirical romantic drama-comedy series Jane the Virgin (2014–2019), for which she won a Golden Globe Award in 2015.
Career of Gina Rodriguez
In 2004, Rodriguez made her acting debut in an episode of Law & Order. Later, she made appearances on The Mentalist, Army Wives, and Eleventh Hour. Rodriguez was cast as Beverly, a recurring character, in The Bold and the Beautiful on October 19, 2011.
She was cast in the musical movie Go for It!, for which she was nominated for a 2011 Imagen Award.

In the 2019 action thriller Miss Bala, Rodriguez played the main character In the same year, it was announced that Rodriguez would be in the upcoming science fiction thriller Awake, which will be on Netflix. She also gave Velma Dinkley’s voice in the computer-animated adventure movie Scoob!
Rodriguez was the show’s executive producer and also played the main character as an adult in the Disney+ show Diary of a Future President.
For the second season of the show, she was up for the Children’s and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Performance.

Gina Rodriguez Pregnancy News
Gina Rodriguez showed off her growing baby bump at the Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday, where she was promoting her new ABC comedy, Not Dead Yet. The 38-year-old actress and executive producer said that her due date is Monday, and she thought back on how the show came together while she was going through her first pregnancy.
Rodriguez and her husband, Joe LoCicero, said in July that they were expecting their first child. She said during the Not Dead Yet session that the pregnancy wasn’t really in their plans for the year, since she was about to start filming the first season of her new show.
The actress talked about how they were able to hide her growing bump during the shoot. She said that the producers and directors came up with creative ways to do it.

Personal Life and Disorder
Rodriguez stated in an interview that she had had Hashimoto’s disease, a thyroid disorder since she was 19 years old.

In a 2014 interview, she stated: “I was brought up as a Catholic. My family is Jewish and I go to a Christian church in Hollywood. Basically, I’m all over the place.”
On the set of Jane the Virgin, Rodriguez met Joe LoCicero, an actor, model, and MMA fighter, whom she started dating in 2016. In an interview with Us Weekly on August 7, 2018, Rodriguez affirmed that she and LoCicero were engaged. The pair wed on May 4, 2019. Rodriguez announced on Instagram on July 30, 2022, that she was expecting her and LoCicero’s first child.
