Our post called “Minecraft Best Seeds” has a lot of new seeds that you can use to start your next Minecraft world. Using certain seeds is a great way to start an adventure in a fun place. Since the game’s landscape is made up of random pieces, it’s nice to know what you’re getting into.
How to Use Minecraft Seed?
Simply put, a Minecraft seed is a string of numbers that tells you the exact Minecraft world you can load into. Before making a new world, you can punch in these numbers to bring up the specific place you want to explore, and creators share these codes online. When you create a new world, the “More World Options” menu has a field where you can enter your chosen seed. Using a seed will give you the same world generation as someone else who used it.
You only need to make sure you are running the right version of Minecraft. If you don’t, your seed might not grow exactly what you want, or it might grow something slightly different.
The good news is that running older versions of Minecraft isn’t too hard. All you have to do is open the launcher, click on “Launch Options,” then “Add New.” From here, you can name it, and below that is a drop-down list of all the previous editions. Just click on the one you want, go back to the “News” section, and load up the version you need. Now, a more in-depth look at the best Minecraft seeds.

The Dark Tower
Seed: 3477968804511828743 | Version: 1.18+
Minecraft is the ultimate sandbox, and you can tell your own stories however you want. That’s why I love this seed. With this survival start, there’s already a story going on. Evil lives in the huge dark tower, and it needs to be defeated. Will you step up to the challenge (and take all the goodies for yourself)? If you decide to use the Dark Tower as a base of operations, you can be sure that it has a great basement.
The Two Islands
Seed: 7850875 | Version: 1.19
The spawn area of this seed is dominated by two huge vertical islands. One is a small badlands island with trees on top, and the other is a bigger jungle island. The jungle island has everything: a broken portal to the Nether, a lagoon, a jungle temple, and a huge cave opening with a lot of plants. Even the water around them is full of coral reefs.
The best part is that it works on both Bedrock and Java editions, so you can look at this treasure trove of views in any way you want.

Old City at The Spawn Seed
Seed: 7980363013909395816 | Version: 1.19
This seed will get you to one of the new old cities down in the deep dark as soon as possible so you can check it out. You will start in an open cave near a village that is close to the surface. A very old city is waiting to be found far below your feet. If you don’t want to dig yourself, you can teleport to the coordinates 0 -44 13 to go straight to the center.
Island of Survival
Seed: 2622795609673772012 | Version: 1.19
This is a great remote survival island seed for 1.18 if you like those. You are really alone in the middle of this frozen ocean, where you can only see icebergs for hundreds of blocks. You get to live in a small taiga forest.
Hidden Spots in The Jungle
Seed: 2825049098349321056 | Version 1.19
This jungle cove seed really shows how beautiful the new world generation in 1.18 is. This warm ocean is surrounded by rocky cliffs and a jungle full of tall trees. Under those stone cliffs, there are large caverns to explore, as well as a broken Nether portal and a large bamboo forest to discover.
A Small Town With Secrets
Seed: 5705783928676095273 | Version 1.19
Like the proverbial “house on a haunted hill,” this village has a scary mansion right next to it that is ready to be taken over. Why the villagers chose to live next to a source of one of their biggest enemies is a mystery, but it makes it easy for you to steal from them or just take over, since decorating a Woodland Mansion is much faster than building your own from scratch. Also, when you’re ready, you can find an Ancient City at X: 152 Y: -51 Z: 72. It’s almost right under your feet. Talk about a house with a curse.
