How to Stop using CarPlay?

3. Choose “CarPlay” from the “General” settings menu.
4. The “CarPlay” menu shows you the cars that are paired with your phone. To stop being connected to a car, tap the option you want to forget. When you choose a vehicle, you go to the menu for that vehicle.
5. Tap “Forget This Car” in the car’s menu.
6. Tap “Forget” on the pop-up menu to confirm that you want to forget about the car. You can forget one car with this option, but your iPhone can still connect to other cars.
Using Restrictions to turn off CarPlay:
1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
2. Move your cursor to the second part of the app and click “Screen Time.”
3. Scroll down and tap “Content & Privacy Restrictions” in the Screen Time menu.
4. Choose “Apps I can use.” If your menu doesn’t let you click this option, you can turn on the menu by toggling the button to the right of the “Content & Privacy Restrictions” title. When you open the menu, the button should be green.
5. Under “Allowed Apps,” scroll down until you see “CarPlay.” Tap the switch button to turn it off. When you turn off the app, the button should be gray. Once the app is turned off, it won’t work in any car. To turn the feature back on, you can tap the button again.
