Early details about One Piece chapter 1072 have just been posted online by the OPSpoiler Twitter page. The new chapter is said to be called “The Weight of Memory,” and the cover shows Queen, Judge, and Caesar making weapons.

The chapter starts with Vegapunk telling us that even if the rest of the world doesn’t accept it, he will always see “her” as a real person and that this is the first step toward world peace. Meanwhile, Bonney tricks Vegapunk into comforting her after she turned into a baby. In an instant, she changes back, knocks out Vegapunk’s sparkling jewels, and turns him into a baby.
Vegapunk tells Bonney that he can’t tell her about Kuma’s past because it would hurt her very much, and he also promised Kuma that he wouldn’t tell anyone their secrets. Bonney is upset to hear this, so she breaks down a nearby door with a bear print on it.
Then, we see a flashback of Vegapunk explaining that Kuma’s abilities can turn “intangible things into tangible things,” like Luffy’s Pain in Thriller Bark. Their power can even send signals from the nervous system of whoever it is used on, causing pain, thoughts, or even memories from the past.
Vegapunk wants to work with Kuma so that they can find out more about his abilities and “materialize Kuma’s own memories” so that Kuma can figure out how much memories weigh. But Kuma feels embarrassed about the whole thing and isn’t sure if she should keep helping Vegapunk.
Back in the present, Bonney has gone into the bear print room and found a bear-shaped energy sitting in the middle. Vegapunk tells Bonney not to touch it because it’s Kuma’s pain, but Bonney doesn’t listen.
Cut to Kaku vs. Zoro outside the lab. Kaku starts to use his awakened form, but an angry Zoro beats him easily while Brook protects the Thousand Sunny. The 4 Seraphim show up in the middle of the fight. They didn’t get orders, but their higher brain function lets them choose their own battle strategy.
CP0 tells the 4 Seraphim to destroy the lab, but just as their powers start to combine on the building, someone bites Kaku’s neck, and he falls to the floor.
It turns out that Stussy is a clone of Ms. Buckingham Stussy, one of the Rock Pirates, who has vampire-like wings and fangs. The chapter ends with Stussy saying, “I just put Kaku to sleep, Lucci!” And now I need you to go to sleep as well!”
