Selena Gomez Quits TikTok Following Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber Comment Drama

After Selena Gomez generated fan excitement and made headlines for a day with her remarks on TikTok regarding rumored turmoil involving herself, Kylie Jenner, and Hailey Bieber, she decided to leave the app. According to Cosmopolitan, Selena Gomez went live on TikTok to explain her choice and why she was ending her account.

“I’m really delighted, I’m very blessed, I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world,” she exclaimed. Plus, I’m fine. Being me is perfect. I don’t give a damn whether you call me huge or not.

As I am, I am happy. And sure, I’m going to step away from the internet for a second, because this is ridiculous. And at thirty, I’m way past my prime for this sort of thing. The thing is, I really care about all of you. …I’m just going to take a break from everything, and I’ll be back to see you guys as soon as I can.

This month, Selena Gomez revealed to Vanity Fair in an interview that the video-sharing app TikTok was all she kept on her phone. TikTok, she added, was the only app she kept on her phone because she found it to be the least antagonistic. Connecting with people, witnessing their joy, and hearing their stories are two of social media’s many positive aspects.

Yet [for me now], that is typically filtered out. I made a plan. My assistant publishes all the things I create and emails her. In terms of feedback, I can assure you that my team will compile a few positive points. TikTok, she said Vanity Fair in an interview published earlier this month, is the only social networking app she keeps on her phone.

To paraphrase, “The only thing I have on my phone is TikTok because I find it a little less aggressive,” she remarked. “The best parts of social media are talking to your followers, learning about their lives, and sharing in their enthusiasm for your work.

But [for me now] that’s usually filtered out. That’s why I made a plan. My assistant publishes whatever I produce and sends it to her. My staff and I will compile some positive feedback shortly.
