Galaxy S21 Gets the Wonderful One UI 5.1 Update

Even before the Galaxy S23 series came out two weeks ago, Samsung started giving the Galaxy S21 series the One UI 5.1 update. But back then, the update was only for countries in Europe. Now, the US versions of the Galaxy S21 series have received the One UI 5.1 update.

The firmware version G99xUSQU5EWAI comes with the One UI 5.1 update for the carrier-locked Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The update also includes the security patch for February 2023, which fixes more than 400 security flaws.

The update is now available on the US network of Xfinity Mobile. Within the next few days, the update could be made available by other carriers. The update hasn’t been sent to the phones that are unlocked yet.

If you have a carrier-locked Galaxy S21 series phone in the US, you can download and install the new update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also manually flash the new file by downloading it from our firmware database.

What’s New In the One UI 5.1 Update?

Several stock apps get better with the One UI 5.1 update. By swiping the image up, you can now see EXIF information in the Gallery app. You can also change those details. The Gallery app can figure out what things and people are in a picture, and if you press and hold on to them, you can make them into stickers.

With the Multi Control feature, you can use the mouse and keyboard on your Galaxy Book laptop with your phone.
