After the shocking conclusion of the first season, everyone is wondering what will happen next and whether or not The Eminence in Shadow season 2 will be announced. Do not worry; when season 2’s plot is revealed, we will discuss what to expect next.
The Eminence in Darkness, also known as Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!, is a series of Isekai novels written by Daisuke Aizawa. It debuted as a web novel in 2018 on Shosetsuka ni Naro, a user-generated website.
The allegedly traditional “dark fantasy Isekai,” however, astonished everyone because the protagonist’s whole plot depended on making incredibly eerie claims that also happened to be real.
As dark fantasy and comedy don’t typically go together, the series became extremely well-known soon after its debut. The Eminence in Darkness, a light novel series published by Enterbrain as a result, was later serialized as a manga by artist Anri Sakano.
The anime version of the series was in high demand as it continued to gain new viewers. And the announcement of the anime adaptation came quickly. The anime adaptation was announced by Studio Nexus in 2021, and the television show ran from October 2022 to February 2023.
As predicted, the anime series attracted record-breaking numbers of viewers, leading an additional million fans to purchase the manga and light novel volumes. Thus it makes sense that The Eminence in Shadow anime fans is eagerly awaiting season 2.
The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Release Date Predictions
Although a second season has been teased and confirmed to be in the works, there is currently no timeline for its release. The second season probably won’t air this year because the first one ended in February 2023.
The popularity of the first season and the fact that the second season was announced just a few days after the first season ended, however, make me believe that we won’t have to wait long for the future one.
Thus I would estimate that the spring or summer of 2024 would probably see the publication of The Eminence in Shadow season 2! But that’s just speculation, and it might be altered once the precise release date is revealed!
Due to the length of time, Studio Nexus spent creating the first season, I indicated those dates as probable release dates. After a delay of 1.5 years, in October 2022, The Eminence in Shadow Season 1 began airing after its announcement in February 2021.
The Eminence in Shadow season 2 release could be delayed until the summer or perhaps the fall of 2024 if Studio Nexus sticks to the same schedule as the previous season.
But because the first season was so well-liked by otakus, the second season might be given priority, and we might even have a release in the spring of 2024!

The Eminence in Shadow: A Light Novel, Season 2
The first two volumes of the light novel and the first 26 chapters of the manga have been adapted into the anime. Save for a few isolated monologues here and there, the anime has been true to its source material.
Chapter 27 of the manga or volume 3 of the light novel are good places to start for those who can’t wait for season 2 and want to keep reading the story.
But you can also start reading at the beginning. The manga of the series is still going strong and has 10 volumes so far, while the light novel is still going strong and has 5 volumes so far. The events from light novel volume three and manga volume seven will be covered in season two of the anime.
The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Trailer
The Eminence in Shadow season 2 has been confirmed through a teaser clip. The trailer for The Shadow Garden, which also hints at a horrific plot, claims that zombie attacks are a fresh pleasure.
The first season’s animation appears to be even better than it was, and some new characters are hinted at, but viewers are still left wanting more. The gory, sinister tone of the entire trailer heightens the anticipation among spectators.
One thing is for certain: Season 2 will be more violent, brutal, and action-packed than Season 1. This is proven by the trailer.
