The new iPhone 14 line from Apple is now official, and this year there are four new models. But as we pointed out in our article about the differences between each iPhone in the 14 line, the regular iPhone 14 doesn’t offer much more than last year’s regular iPhone 13.

Design and Display
The style is the first thing the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 13 have in common. They both look the same and are about the same size, with flat aluminum tracks.
The new iPhone is a little bit bigger and heavier than the one from last year, but you won’t notice it right away, even if you hold them both at the same time. They look so much alike that you’d have a hard time telling them apart if it weren’t for the three new colors.
The iPhone 14 comes in a new Blue color, a new Purple color, and a slightly lighter Product Red color. We looked at both phones in the Starlight color, and as you can see from the pictures, they look the same.
Even though the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 13 look the same from the outside, there is one major change in how they are made. iFixit’s teardown showed that Apple has completely changed the way the iPhone 14 works on the inside, making it easy to take off the back glass for repairs.
This makes the iPhone 14 the one that can be fixed the most. This won’t change how you use the phone on a daily basis, but it will make it easy to keep the new iPhone for a long time.
The changes in the way they work on the inside don’t affect how long they last, so they both use the same materials and have the same IP68 rating. In this comparison, the style is not the only thing that is similar.
The screen of the iPhone 14 is almost exactly the same as the screen of the iPhone 13. This means that it still has a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2532 x 1170p and a frame rate of 60Hz.
The 60Hz refresh rate isn’t exactly a deal-breaker, especially if you’re coming from an older iPhone, but it’s definitely an area where the iPhone needs an update.
So, if you were hoping that the new iPhone 14 would have a screen with a faster update rate, you’ll be disappointed to learn that it doesn’t. The iPhone 14 Pro versions will still cost you money.
