Netflix’s planned live reunion Technical glitches delayed the season 4 cast of “Love is Blind” on Sunday. Netflix taped the episode to stream globally at 3 pm ET Monday.
Netflix tweeted, “To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned.
“We’re filming it and will have it on Netflix as soon as possible. Again, thanks and sorry.” Netflix’s second live program was scheduled for 8 p.m. ET Sunday. Netflix tweeted: “Love is… late.” 15 minutes till #LoveIsBlindLIVE!”
The streaming service said the show “will be worth the wait” minutes later. Netflix users saw “It’s almost time!” when they tried to stream. Live event begins soon.”
Live events are new to the company. Netflix live-streamed “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage” on March 4. Streamed smoothly.
Live streaming works for Netflix’s competitors. Amazon Prime debuted Thursday Night Football last year. Apple TV+ broadcasts MLB games. Other contestants have entered live.
Netflix has resisted because live broadcast rights, especially for sports, are expensive. Netflix lost subscribers in 2022. As media changes, the company tried live broadcasts.
