After the terrible death of the 23-year-old Minecraft streamer, Alex “Technoblade,” gave the gaming world a final message through his father in a video that was uploaded to YouTube shortly after.
Additionally, according to his father, they intended to create a video with a public face reveal. But due to issues with how to execute the plan, it was never successful.
Technoblade had been hiding his identity for a very long time and was a resident of San Francisco, California, at the time of his demise. their family told their viewers his identity on his YouTube account.
Everyone in the gaming and streaming communities was grieved by the young man’s untimely demise.
The Reason Technoblade’s Official Face Reveal Did Not Happen
In the video that was uploaded after he passed away, the Minecraft YouTuber, who has more than 13 million subscribers, disclosed his real name for the first time. The 23-year-old gamer’s father spoke on his behalf and stated:
“Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you’re watching this, I’m dead. So let’s sit down and have one final chat. My real name is Alex. I had one of my siblings call me ‘Dave’ one time in a a deleted video from 2016. It was one of the most successful pranks we’ve ever done. Thousands of creepy online dudes trying to get overly-personal going, Oh, hey Dave. How’s it going?’”
Alex also expressed his gratitude for all the support he has received over the years in his statement. He concluded by wishing everyone a happy day. Alex’s father continued by revealing that the family had intended to create a film to introduce the Minecraft player to the public.
They initially intended to record it at their home while the streamer was still there, but his father argued that it was already too late. While he was in the hospital, they wanted to test it out, but they decided against it because of how bad he was getting.
“We’ve been talking for a couple of months about Alex doing a final video, sometimes he called it a face reveal. We were gonna shoot it in his living room but we kind of waited too long…”
Then, Technoblade’s father said they had to wait a little longer because Alex wanted to do things right but couldn’t focus:
“…Then we were going to shoot it from his bed. He wanted to have everything he wanted to say written down ahead of time and I think he was having a hard time focusing, you know with all the various things that were hooked up to him. He’s always been kind of particular about his environment.”
Even though he didn’t do a public face reveal on his own, his family added some pictures of the streamer to the video. Over the years, some YouTube films have also shown Technoblade’s face.
His face can be seen in the video for hitting 100,000 subscribers, the cooking videos, and the stream of “playing Minecraft hardcore with a steering wheel.”
