Sean Patrick Hannity is an American talk show host, political commentator, and author who is known for his rights views. He is the host of The Sean Hannity Show, a talk radio show that is broadcast all over the country.
Since 2009, he has also been the host of Hannity, a discussion show on Fox News. In 1989, Hannity worked as a general contractor and did talk show hosting for free at UC Santa Barbara.
He later went to work for WVNN in Athens, Alabama, and then WGST in Atlanta not long after that. He worked at WABC in New York from the time he left WGST until 2013. Hannity has worked at WOR since 2014.
Hannity and Alan Colmes had a show on Fox called Hannity & Colmes in 1996. After Colmes said he was leaving in January 2008, Hannity turned the Hannity & Colmes show into his own show, which was called Hannity.
Hannity has won a lot of awards and titles, and Liberty University even gave him an honorary degree.
He has written three New York Times best-selling books: Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty over Liberalism, Deliver Us from Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism, and Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama’s Radical Agenda. In 2020, he will publish a fourth book, Live Free or Die.
Hannity has spread many conspiracy theories, such as “birtherism,” which said that then-President Barack Obama was not a real U.S. citizen. He has also spread fake information about the murder of Seth Rich and Hillary Clinton’s health.
Hannity was one of the first people to back Donald Trump in the 2016 race for president. Hannity often spoke for the president in an unofficial way by criticizing the media and attacking Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian involvement in Trump’s election.
He supposedly talked to Trump most weeknights on the phone. During a Trump rally, he spoke from the president’s lectern. White House advisers called him the “shadow” chief of staff.
Forbes says that by 2018, Hannity was one of the most-watched TV news hosts and one of the most-listened-to-talk radio hosts. This was partly because he was close to Trump and could talk to him often.
