Ed McCaffrey’s Personal Life
McCaffrey is the oldest of five children. He has two brothers and two sisters. His brothers and sisters are Monica, who played basketball in college at Georgetown University, Billy, who played basketball in college at Duke University and Vanderbilt University, Michael, and Meghan.
McCaffrey met his wife Lisa (Sime) while they were both students at Stanford University. Lisa is the daughter of British Olympic runner Dave Sime. They have four boys together, and all of them have played football.
Max, their oldest child, was a wide receiver who played football in college at Duke. From 2016 to 2018, he played for a number of different NFL teams, and his father was the offensive coordinator for Northern Colorado.
He played running back for the Valor Eagles from 2010 to 2014 and was rated four stars. He also played safety, wide receiver, and punter during that time. He broke many Colorado state high school records, such as the most touchdowns scored in a career (141), the most all-purpose yards scored in a career (8,845), the most touchdown passes scored in a career (47), and the most all-purpose yards scored in a single season (3,032).
