Fans can’t wait to hear if You will be back for a fifth season, even though season 4 part 2 just came out.
In each season of You, Joe Goldberg goes to a different place. We saw him follow Beck around New York in season 1. In season 2, Joe moved to Los Angeles and became crazy about Love. In season 3, things changed when Joe and Love moved to the suburbs. Now, in season 4, Joe has left his old life behind and moved to London under a new name.
People really like You, so much so that season 4 was split into two parts. Everyone can’t wait to see more of their favorite made-up serial killer in the future. So, here’s everything we know about You season 5 so far: when it will come out, who will be in it, a video, spoilers, and news about whether or not this will be the last season of the show.
When does the fifth season of You come out on Netflix?
Netflix confirmed on Twitter not long after You season 4, Part 2 came out that the hit show will be back for one more season. They posted: “Joe Goldberg will return for the fifth and ~final~ season of YOU in 2024.” This means that Joe will not be seen again after season 5 of You.

Penn talked about the show’s future on the Happy Sad Confused podcast before the news came out. “I signed a six-year contract right out the gate,” he said. They could do two more if they wanted to. If there is a second season, I believe it will only be one.
When does season 5 of You come out?
The news from Netflix said that the fifth season of You will come out in 2024. The SAG-AFTRA strike that is still going on, though, could affect the release.
As of July 2023, actors are on strike because talks with studios and production companies broke down over better pay, better working conditions, and protections against AI being used without permission to use their image.
The Writers Guild of America (WGA) has also been on strike since May 2023 for the same reason. We don’t know yet if You season 5 will be split into two parts like season 4 or not.
Cast of You
Joe Goldberg and Penn Badgley
Marienne Bellamy as Tati Gabrielle
Kate Tilly and Charlotte Ritchie Keeper – Woman Hi, Phoebe
I’m Amy-Leigh Hickman Sophie Niccy Lin – Nadia Niccy Lin
Roald Walker-Burton works with Ben Wiggins.
The Ozioma Before the blessing, Malcolm (Stephen Hagan), Simon (Aidan Cheng), Gemma (Eve Austin), Adam (Lukas Gage), and Rhys (Ed Speelers) were all alive. he couldn’t be a part of season 4.
What will happen in the fifth season of You?
In the last episode of season 4, Joe gets away with his sins and is still seeing Kate. Not only that, but Kate also helps Joe hide what he did in the past. His story about having to fake his death after an abusive relationship with Love was shown on TV. It’s not clear how much Kate knows about Joe’s past, though.
The co-host of Penn’s show, Nava Kavelin, talks about how Rhys Montrose inspires Joe in season 4 and asks Penn, “Is Joe going to run for office in season 5?” Penn answers, “Yeah…,” which seems to support Nava’s idea.I don’t know. I’m not sure, but it’s interesting and makes sense.”
Is Joe running for office? It sounds like a mess. Also, Nadia, Marienne, and Ellie still know what Joe is really capable of, so it’s possible that one or more of them will try to hide his killings in season 5.
You author Caroline Kepnes is also putting out a new book from Joe’s point of view on April 25, 2023. It’s called For You and Only You, and it could be used as inspiration for season 5.
There isn’t any information yet on where You season 5 will take place if it gets picked up, but since Joe is back in New York at the end of season 4, we think it will be there again.
