James Adam Belushi was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 15, 1954. He grew up with his parents, Agnes and Adam, and his three brothers and sisters, John, Marian, and Billy.

John was famous for playing Jake and Elwood in “The Blues Brothers” movie and “Saturday Night Live” sketches. He died tragically of a drug overdose in 1982, and Jim later started singing as Zee Blues in an updated version of the band.

His father was from Albania, and his mother was born in Ohio to parents who came from Albania. After Jim graduated from Wheaton Central High School in 1972, he went to the College of DuPage.

He later changed schools and got a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Theater Arts from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
