At CinemaCon in April, Warner Bros. Pictures unveiled Robbie, 31, as the famous Mattel doll for the first time. In the picture, Robbie as Barbie is shown smiling and leaning forward in a pink Chevrolet Corvette convertible while wearing a blue-and-white polka-dotted headpiece and matching striped halter top.
She went on to say that the role “comes with a lot of baggage,” given the controversy surrounding the doll in the past. The Oscar-nominated actress said the trip brought back many memories. That said, there are a number of intriguing ways to take on the challenge.
